Ren in the Glen is a very affordable way to spend a lazy day with friends and family. All ages will find something to do, something to marvel at, and something to take home with them!
I am glad to announce that I will again present at the Ren in the Glen this year (and hopefully accompanied by my two birthday peasants Traci and Princess Nia)!
I will be doing analyses of your handwriting for a small fee (which will be done on a souvenir sheet which is suitable for framing), doing a group presentation where I'll do a simultaneous group analysis and even have some freebies and other products for sale.
If you attended a few years ago (unfortunately I wasn't able to attend last year) you'll see that this year there is so much more. Even if you had your handwriting analyzed last time, you'll want to do so again to see if there are any changes!
Here is a video from the last time Brother Scott (that's me) was at the Ren in the Glen:
Here are details about the event:
Once upon a time, in a land far away, there was a mystical vale known simply as... The Glen.
And the King decreed: Each year shall we gather here, and make merry! Let there be music, and dance, and feats of arms, and feasting! Let the merchants of all the lands come forth to sell their wares, let noble and peasant alike join together, and let there be song and celebration!
Tucked away in a hidden valley on a former dairy farm, Ren in the Glen is one of Wisconsin's newest and smallest Renaissance Faires. It is the culmination of the vision and hard work of many people, who said, simply, "This would be a great place for a faire!" It is the result of the efforts of a dedicated volunteer group of grounds crew, staff, cast, performers, sponsors, and participants who made their dream a reality for the first time in 2012.
What is a Renaissance Faire? It's a festival that creates the atmosphere of a long-ago time – whether real or imagined – of brave knights and their ladies, of kings and queens, of peasants, legends, and history. It's a festival that encourages everyone to don the costumes of the Middle Ages, or the Dark Ages, or the Renaissance, and join in the fun by immersing yourself in our shared fantasy!
